I recently bought the Our Lady of Guadalupe lovey (2) and the ruffle blanket. My 8 week old great niece has one of the loveys and I kept the other to use as a layette for my prayer space. I can't explain the comfort, both physically and emotionally this blanket provides. I bought it to use as a new traditional baptism blanket and this last weekend, we welcomed baby Maylee into the Catholic faith by receiving her first holy sacrament. The blanket feels weighted but it's just the quality of the material. I'm very hot natured but this blanket feels like it has sort of a cooling effect if a fan is blowing nearby towards it, yet it keeps me warm and so comfortable. I feel as though Our Lady is giving me a hug and keeping me wrapped in her mantle while using it. I don't want to let go of it. In fact, I'm going to bring it along with me wherever I go. There's something very special about this particular blanket. It's so soft and stretchy and again, somehow feels slightly weighted but it's not. Baby Maylee loves her lovey and when she's using her pacifier and the lovey is laying across her little body, she is so relaxed. I can't say enough about these products. I will use it but also treasure it because it will be used for every baptism in our family and be handed down for generations. It is a blessed heirloom and I'm going to keep a journal with it to document baptisms with names and dates. 5 star products and worth every penny spent!
